Training and imPACT Certification
ITC serves as the world’s first and only certification board for Orphanages, which awards the imPACT Certification to individuals who complete coursework, pass an exam and commit to implementing the International Standards. When Director’s, Staff and Funders are imPACT Certified, orphans receive better care and a reduced risk of harm, which fosters a more favorable outcome for Children-in-Care.
The imPACT CareFORCE is how ITC refers to the network of individuals and entities involved in care & support for an Orphanage. The ITC CRM Software enables the entire network of support to communicate, collaborate and coordinate, resulting in the highest and best care. The imPACT CareFORCE incudes Board Members, the Director, Staff, Bookkeeper, Caregivers, funders, government oversight workers, child advocates, etc.

Quality Scoring and Risk Rating
Based on the ITC Standards of Care, ITC Compliance Analysts assign a Quality Score and Risk Rating for an Orphanage so governments, funders, advocates, etc. can easily identify programs with a High-Quality Score and Low-Risk of Harm Rating to invest the best resources into the best programs. Naturally, programs with a Low-Quality Score and High-Risk Rating would be a strong indicator that the invested resources do not benefit the Children-in-Care.
ITC develops, maintains and implements the IMPACT Database, a world-class technology platform, which supports the Implementation of the International Standards by facilitating communication, collaboration and coordination among Orphanage Directors, staff and the IMPACT CareForce (Partnering, Accountability, Compliance and Transparency). The IMPACT Database contains CareForce Profiles on Key Stakeholders and provides contact information, role & responsibility, contact preferences, language, Training & Certifications.

ITC is drafting the screenplay for the PLIGHT, the dramatic, inspiring true story of orphans who endured horrific circumstances under the control of an evil Director and his sadistic family but managed to persevere and tell their story.
The common goal of all activity is to improve the Quality of Life for Children-in-Care. Certified ITC Analysts conduct Risk Assessment Audits on Orphanages to determine the level of Compliance with the International Standards, then assigns a Quality Score and Risk Rating. Orphanages with High Quality Scores and a Low-Risk Rating will attract increased investment, given the increased confidence in program integrity. In the future, governments, NGOs and Financial Supporters will mandate imPACT Certification and compliance with the International Standards. Directors will be held accountable for the Quality Score and Risk Rating.
Risk Assessment Analysts will take all factors into consideration, such as political climate, economic conditions, Government relations, geography, culture, child-to-staff ratio, tenure, age and experience of Director & staff, Staff Members belonging to the same family, the condition and size of facilities, etc.
Investment in an Orphanage with a High-Quality Score and Low-Risk Rating is wise since, based on the integrity of the Risk Assessment, there is a high probability that resources will benefit the children. A decision to Ignore a Low-Quality Score, High Risk Rating is hazardous to the Children-in-Care, serves to reinforce that exploitation is profitable, deceives other donors to believe the organization is credible and prolongs efforts to remove corrupt Directors.
Bringing in-kind donations such as Christmas gifts seems harmless, until you learn the gifts are given while your group is onsite but, after your departure, the gifts are taken back from the children and sold for personal financial gain from the Director’s flea Market booth. With Training on Best Practices and a IMPACT Certification, the IMPACT CareForce Members act in unison, do not make such errors, and follow written policies and procedures which were in place well in advance of any incidents.
Most Orphanages have a Low-Quality Score because the programs are not in Compliance with the New International Standards. Even so, some are considered Low-Risk since the Children-in-Care are safe from harm, well fed, attend school and receive minimum healthcare.
However, Board Members, the Orphanage Director, and funders (aka imPACT CareFORCE) may make a firm commitment to become Compliant with the International Standards. Although full Compliance may take 3 to 5 years, if there is immediate, tangible action taken by the Director, such as enrolling in a IMPACT Certification Cass, increasing staff, more frequent medical care, or initiating a tutoring program, will have an immediate positive imPACT on the Quality Score and often lowers the Risk Rating.
